Dawson Creek, Tumbler Ridge and Chetwynd areas. Successful applicants

      Description:

      Prep (.422 FTE)

      District requires .7 TERM Elementary Counsellor/Teacher for Chetwynd and Area

      Description:

      Effective September 1, 2022 until June 30, 2023.

      The focus of the counselling work will be in assessing and developing interventions for students in the areas of behaviour, social-emotional well-being and self-determination. These interventions may be delivered individually, in small groups or in the classroom setting. The candidate will participate in the planning and implementation of behaviour plans in collaboration with the school-based team liaising with outside agencies, as needed. Working together with staff, a major goal of intervention is to assist students in transferring skills across environments including classroom, playground and other areas. The candidate will also provide direction and support to District intervention workers.
